Is design separate from development?
We usually treat them as one project. Design decisions need to work in Shopify, with your catalogue and on mobile. Keeping them together avoids a pretty mock-up that cannot be built cleanly.
Do you design from scratch or customise a theme?
Both approaches are common. A strong premium theme can be a good base when customised properly. A heavier custom layout makes sense when your buying flow or catalogue needs it.
Can you redesign only product pages?
Yes, if that is where the main friction is. We will still check navigation and mobile checkout so fixes in one area are not undermined elsewhere.
